What people are saying…

  • "My son did an EAL session with you at the #1 Family Camp. We were both so blessed by the experience. I loved watching him become so calm and tender toward the horse, and talk with you about spiritual things learned while being with the horse. My son is on the autism spectrum and has anxiety and ADHD. To see him calm, tender, and listening to you and the horse was amazing. Also, he loved being with the horse and doing all the activities. He said his favorite part was brushing the horse, and riding bareback so he could feel the horse. Judah was very sweet! I wouldn't change anything! I loved the different exercises and how you so seamlessly tied them to such great questions about spiritual training. It is a great program!"

  • "Thank you for the super fun EAL session! The girls said they really enjoyed getting to spend time with you and Jezebel and it was their favorite thing they did this week at camp! Their favorite part was making the obstacle course and helping Jezebel go on the “island”. Getting to ride Jezebel bareback was also a big highlight. They said she is the sweetest horse and are looking forward to another session next year. Keep up the awesome work! You are amazing!"

  • “We really loved our experience with (North Star) Equine-Assisted Learning! Our daughter is really brave and confident around horses so I think that was part of what made it successful. Also, Jezebel (the horse) was just phenomenal! We had a 10/10 experience! It was 100% the perfect session for her first time and really played towards her interests and kept her engaged. She would have stayed there all day if you let her. Now her younger sister (4) is asking if she can do a session with Jezebel next summer. She (4yo) also has her heart set on being a wrangler when she grows up. “We will definitely be at Silver Birch Ranch in July 2026 and are looking forward to another EAL session (or more).”

  • "I will ALWAYS remember the HUGE smile on my daughter's face when she rode Jezi for the first time all by herself. And when Jezi followed her back to the barn with no lead rope. This program is healing her in so many ways!! We praise God for the work He is doing through you…and through this program!!"

  • I loved it! I got to ride more than if I weren't in the program and I got to help out on the trail ride. Camp was better because I got excited every day about going to the barn and spending time with the horses. I liked riding the draft horses better than the light horses. It was my first time ever getting to ride a draft horse. I want to volunteer there when I'm older.”

  • “They (the Equine-Assisted Learning sessions) went well and she enjoyed it! She enjoyed it also because it was just her and her friend. She liked riding the horses and feeding them because (they attended) horse camp the past 2 years previously. It was great how they learned about the Fruit of the Spirit and how it related to riding horses and caring for animals. She would definitely do it again if it was offered (next summer).”

  • “She enjoyed it (Equine-Assisted Learning) very much...She liked braiding the mane. Coloring of the horses seemed fun for kids...Overall was a very pleasant experience. Thank you for offering it.”
